Crane has a history of giving back to improve the quality of life in our community. It is an important element of our business and our personal philosophy. Over the years we have supported many organizations especially in the areas of youth development and achievement, and medical advancement. Our owners are involved on the boards of a wide-range of organizations that help those in need. Some of the projects we are involved with include
Holy Family Lutheran Church – Renovation
We are assisting with the renovation of Holy Family Lutheran Church, located on the former site of Chicago’s Cabrini Green public housing development by providing all of our management services on a pro-bono basis.
Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University – Northwestern Comprehensive Transplant Center
In 2005, Jeff raised almost one million dollars for the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University to support liver research. We are currently in the process of helping raise a $10 million endowment for the Northwestern Comprehensive Transplant Center.
Erie Neighborhood House – New Facility
We are working to help build a new facility for Erie Neighborhood House, an organization based in Chicago that helps empower low-income families by helping to provide education, housing and other social services. Along with assisting with fundraising, we provide a significant portion of our services pro-bono and our employees have pledged hands-on assistance at the work site.
“We’ve worked with Crane Construction over the past 16 years and, without their construction expertise and overall assistance, we could not have been successful in our developments. They are honest, they have shown extreme care in making sure our projects are done on time and within budget, and they have over this period developed not only a trusted business relationship, but also a trusted personal relationship. We would highly recommend them as a General Contractor and/or Construction Consultant!” Philip Mappa, Managing Director, MR Properties, LLC
